I am a certified CCNP/CCDP IT networking professional and possess over nineteen years hands on experience with a variety of businesses, financial, manufacturing and government sectors. I am experienced in providing design, installation and support. Years have been spent supporting customers on site which has developed my interpersonal skills and enhanced my written and verbal skills. Those customers have ranged from global banks, retail, government bodies such as policing and global manufacturing. Each sector presented it's own challenges with pressures and personalities being vastly different between them. This naturally has evolved my own inter personal skills greatly. Shifting between support and delivery has developed my project management skills also with times I had to take the lead in managing the project due to tight deadlines. I have worked autonomously and within large teams and enjoy both scenarios. I am not limited to just computer network engineering and would be interested in expanding into different areas, be it other IT technology or roles within IT departments. I am a highly motivated self starter, having obtained numerous exams in security and voice over the years (expired) where it was required for projects or support. I also obtained the Wireshark exam in order to better understand the application flow and troubleshooting outside of the Network Layer. My interest and curiosity does not just end with computers - privately obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Politics and History in 2014 and completing a Public Presentation Course in 2012 as the latter was an area I struggled in. It's the same curiosity and willingness to learn that has led me to the decision to work abroad. Opportunities in Ireland in our industry are abound but I am driven to work elsewhere as a betterment of myself and would be delighted to learn a new language whilst doing so.
