Declan is a very experienced provider of consultancy services to both established SMEs and start-up companies, some through the Enterprise Ireland Mentor Programme. He has been actively involved in consulting and mentoring for the past 10 years.His main strengths are in the area of helping organisations understand the process and importance of developing strategies and working with the key managers to support the formulation of sustainable strategies for their companies. He has a lot of experience in helping management recognise the organisational changes required to effectively execute those strategies. He has particular strengths in the vital area of sales and marketing and how to best position a company to be attractive to outside investors.His most recently assignment was with the founders of a start-up company where he helped them to achieve a structured approach to the development of their business over a period of 12 months. During that time, the company have contracted with a number of very high profile customers, opened offices on in the US, raised €400K in seed funding and a further $4M equity in the US. That company have asked for his continuing involvement and support.Declan holds a M.Sc. in Management from Trinity College, Dublin. He has been a main board Executive and Non-Executive Director for a number of companies since 1980.
