In the Heller lab at MSK, I developed novel nanotechnologies for sensing and drug delivery. During my time in the lab, I optimized lipid nanoparticle formulations for drug and RNA delivery, developed a high-throughput spectroscopy platform to screen lysosomal lipids in cells, and used machine learning in concert with carbon nanotube-based sensors to detect disease states in patient serum.

As a mechanical engineer in the Langer and Traverso labs at MIT, I designed novel devices to solve major challenges in the drug delivery field in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. My job entailed fabricating functional prototypes and fixtures using a wide range of techniques and materials, running experiments and testing devices to evaluate performance and inform design decisions, and incorporating electronics and sensors to enhance device capabilities.

In the Multi-Phase Flow Simulation Laboratory, I preprocessed parts for computation fluid dynamics simulations in fuel injectors. I created meshes in Star-CCM+ and documented mesh creation process for future use.

In the Center for eDesign, I developed a method to prescribe reliable data schemas for additive manufacturing to help users create their own standards for new processes. Focusing on optimizing the resolution of Polyjet printers, I designed an experiment to test the effect of increased UV light exposure on resolution and presented weekly updates and a summary poster.
