Working for Casemate has given me a lot of fantastic opportunities, and continues to allow me to develop my skill with a vast amount of different design work. Some of the design responsibilities I have for both the UK and US side of the business include: - Book covers(Designing the front/back/spine/flaps and setting up for print) - Cartography - Web banners/web buttons- Marketing- Leaflet/flyers/posters/postcards/business cards/catalogues- Branding- Image editing/restoring- Image checking- Illustrations- Logo design- Press releases- Pop-up banners- Typesetting- Pdf distribution to contributors of the books(Main software used: Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Adobe acrobat)

This was a work placement I took on to develop my understand and skill towards my job title.

I spent 3 weeks here on a work placement in my second year of University. Whilst there I shadowed the Senior Designer who specialised in UX/UI design.Whilst there I not only developed my skills with the Adobe suite, I gained experience working within a design team and liaising with other companies which were working on projects which were ongoing at the time. As well as observing web and app design I was set daily briefs designed to improve my skill in certain areas such as magazine design, iconography, banner design, web button design, image editing, poster design and branding.
