I have recently graduated from City of Glasgow College with a Business and Entrepreneurship Higher National Certificate (HNC). During that time, I supported myself by working in large superstores, both customer facing on the shop floor and in the warehouse, receiving deliveries, before expediting throughout the store. During my time working in large supermarkets I was given more responsibilities, such as leading shifts, training new colleagues and creating rotas.Having relocated to Australia I have worked in a rugs and runners store, this was a family business so I was given the opportunity to develop many different skills as it was expected for me to handle every duty in store, this would include helping customers in store, on call or through emails, gathering a wide knowledge of the products we had in store to answer and specific enquiries, competently using the pos system, driving the work van and practical work on the carpets, such as cutting and overlocking to the request of the customer.I’m a responsible, reliable and driven individual, who can work on my own or part of a wider team, with a proven ability to develop and quickly learn new skills.
