I have extensive experience working in newsrooms in both Ireland and England, including over 18 years with the now-closed Offaly Express, and a stint managing the newsdesk of a local newspaper group, as well as having worked in London with the Romford Recorder and as a sub with Associated Press, and as a subeditor in Milton Keynes. I have experience of CMS, SEO and social media. In recent years I have worked with a variety of third sector organisations as a copywriter, while continuing with my first love, journalism, by contributing a variety of articles and columns to the long-established Irish Post newspaper, the Guardian and others. I would see particular scope in doing PR for charities, something I have done on a voluntary basis, and would be grateful for opportunities in this regard.I am always keen to work with new clients, both as a journalist and editor, and as a copywriter on a freelance basis, and can be contacted on email at decmcswe@yahoo.ie
