I worked for Plowman Craven for over 7 years, starting as a zero hours assistant in the Rail team and eventually working my way up to a Utilities Surveyor. After this I moved to a Utilities Surveyor position at Sumo Services. I have worked on a number of high profile projects across the country during this time, such as the Houses of Parliament, Stansted Airport, HS2, Devonport MOD, York Railway Museum and many more. My duties as a Utilities Surveyor include, carrying out a full PAS128 survey of a delegated site, lifting, detailing, tracing all utilities within that area, using a variety of equipment to do so. In addition to that I have done line & level, live mark up and full GPR surveys. When on site I usually use a RD8200 cable locator, TX-5 Generator, DS 2000 GPR, Stream UP/DP GPR, Cobra reel with a Sonde attatched, Flexi reel for ducts, Heavy Lifter, as well as the necessary tools and accessories to help lift and trace covers. When observing data on site, I have used Total stations, CS Controllers, GNSS, Scanners such as Leica RTC 360 for drainage chambers, FARO, Leica P50 and a Vidoc handheld scanner. Once data is collected from site, I upload it via applications such as, N4ce and then AutoCad to process.I can tailor my knowledge and skills to specific jobs and use the equipment to a competent level, to gain the correct results for the client. My job involves travelling across the UK and sometimes working night shifts and staying away, so this is something I am familiar and fully flexible with. Every job provides a different obstacle and challenge to overcome, but due to my experience within this field, I feel well equipped to deliver the objectives given, to a very high standard, and pride myself on the work carried out.I have qualifications spanning from a QCF Level 3 in Utility Mapping and Surveying, Construction Skills Certification Scheme, Personal Track Safety, Street Works Qualification Register and I am planning on applying for a QCF Level 5.
