Throughout my professional career, I have always catered for the customer. From bartending, to call centers, to now building life-saving medical products, my main focus has always been on how to be serve the customer with the highest quality.As a bartender and hotel night manager for the majority of my late teens and 20's, I have learned to work well under immense pressure. Being adaptable to all situations is extremely important as being in this industry. You need to perform consistently while completing multiple tasks at a time.The hospitality industry also has gifted me good communication skills, as all interactions, be they positive or negative are done face to face.Working for TELUS International (formally Voxpro), I got a great sense of what it is like to work with an award-winning provider of Multilingual Customer Experience & Technical Support. Here I received training and skills in a different form of communication over the phone or through email. The goal was to solve any problems the customer has in a timely and effective manner, along with simply lending a friendly helping hand when needed.The ability to work as a team was vital there, as based on the needs of the customer, you can move from team to team quickly. While at TELUS International, I received a nomination as part of the EU Reward & Recognition for my ability to adapt to new challenges.I am currently working with Stryker Neurovascular as a Product Builder, my team and I produce coils that can prevent or potentially save the life of a stroke victim. Communication and teamwork are essential in order to meet the demand needed by our customers. These products we create save lives, following GMP and maintaining the highest level of quality are an absolute must. I massively enjoy the work I do here. It is highly skilled, challenging work, which can help people all around the world. Communication, teamwork, and quality have played a massive part of my professional life through the years so far. With Stryker, I am bringing all the skills I have learned to the table. And I am striving to advance them, as well as learning more as I progress.It makes me very proud to work in the medical device industry.
