Mediaworks is a top 5 independent UK agency founded in Newcastle with offices across the UK including Leeds (where I'm based), Manchester, Edinburgh and London. Our primary offering is 'digital first' with services including strategy, brand, SEO, PPC, websites, CRO, and more. We work with some of the UK's most well known brands across a variety of sectors. These include United Utilities, Metro Bank, Viovet, Yorkshire Water, Quiz, Dune London, and River Island. My role at Mediaworks is to work to bring in new partners to help them achieve amazing digital marketing results. I also work closely with our marketing team to help develop campaigns and regional events to increase our brand recognition in the region creating a buzz that brings businesses straight to our door.

Lead Tech work with ambitious financial service partners supplying them with leads to facilitate growth. They use target brand campaigns, operating like a digital agency, to deliver financial advice, retirement, equity release and annuity leads. My role as business development manager was to identify potential prospects, nurture leads, pitch, and onboard new clients. I would then hand the client over to the account management team and work with them to grow accounts and deliver further value to partners.

The Digital Gene, previously The Social Gene, is a business I co-founded with my Mum post-university.I was like many in my generation who leave university not knowing what you want to do. I had always had interest in all things digital and marketing having grew up with a parent who had worked in digital marketing before it became the huge sector it is now. The Digital Gene specialised in website and web app development providing digital transformation solutions for SME's across the UK. My role developed into focussing on the marketing and business development of the business nurturing relationships and bringing in new clients. I also developed the proposition for the business and facilitate growth from nothing to a six-figure turnover.

What started as a blog, The Northern Niche became a digital platform built to champion the people, places and business of the whole Northern region. The site is brimming with Northern content & we have been working very hard to grow our audience. We offered a variety of sponsorship and advertorial opportunities where we crafted engaging stories about your business. Some of the businesses that we worked with included MIMA, Tapas Revolution, Gin Explorer, Turtle Bay and Wynyard Hall.

This was my first blog that I ran. During me few months blogging on this site I covered many aspects of lifestyle, health and travel. I was also invited to many restaurant openings and blogger events during my time writng.
