At Global Counsel, Dedi advises corporates and investors in navigating geopolitical risks and macroeconomic policy in Asia. He also conducts political, regulatory, and partner due diligence for companies looking at expanding into Asia, with a strong focus on Indonesia and broader Southeast Asia.Before GC, Dedi worked as a researcher on Southeast Asian politics for seven years, with on-the-ground experience living in Singapore and Indonesia. He was previously a senior analyst at the Indonesia Programme, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, where he co-authored book chapters and refereed articles examining Indonesian politics and economy. He has policy research and track-two diplomacy experience at ASEAN Studies Centre Universitas Gadjah Mada, where he was the principal researcher on Southeast Asian regionalism. He earned a Master of Science in International Relations from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada, a top-tier public university in Indonesia, with an extensive alumni network spanning government institutions, corporates, and non-governmental organisations.
