• Monitor and operate the transmission system to assure the highest level of safety, reliability and customer service• Direct field forces in routine operations and emergency conditions to assure work safety and transmission system reliability• Coordinate activities with PJM Interconnection• Monitor the Energy Management System display to remain abreast of current conditions• Take appropriate actions to maintain system voltages, line and equipment loading within acceptable limits to assure the reliability of the EMS• Monitor advanced applications and alarms to evaluate system integrity, reliability and security• Identify emergency situations and abnormal conditions• Implement actions required to restore the transmission system to a safe and reliable configuration• Prepare and independently review clearance orders to assure the safe work for field forces• Plan, coordinate, authorize and direct switching and blocking to assure the safe work for field forces working on the electric transmission system• Notify appropriate personnel to take actions associated with equipment breakdown, malfunction, and emergencies• Authorize and direct emergency switching and blocking to restore tripped or faulted equipment• Maintain records of activities associated with the transmission dispatch function• Maintain on-going communication with the on duty Shift Manager• Interface with PJM dispatching personnel, field forces, Power Team dispatching personnel, generating station personnel and high voltage customers

• Operate the electric distribution system in a safe, reliable and efficient manner • Manage customer restoration, switching and operating for scheduled and emergent work• Manage real-time system alarm status and loading conditions• Preform system restoration during storm and emergency events• Perform the work of receiving, recording, routing, dispatching customer calls, information, orders and emergency calls. • Lead and direct the application of the safety tagging procedures• Execute line clearance orders by confirming and directing the placement of tags. • Lead, direct and train associates in restoring customers and safely clearing and restoring equipment• Control and operate the electric distribution system• Respond to all electrical service interruptions involving distribution equipment• Respond to electrical service interruptions up to and including Power Quality, Part Out and All Out categories at secondary voltages from 120/240V single phase up to 34kV three-phase circuits and lines• Perform electrical switching on planned, emergent and emergency basis including distribution substation equipment• Maintain system voltages as well as line and equipment loadings within acceptable limits
