Website: www.CallAAC.com Dee Burch, P.E., is President and CEO of Advanced American Construction, Inc. (AAC), a Portland-based, general contractor. AAC specializes in heavy, civil, marine construction projects throughout the western United States. Dee is a 1978 Oregon State University graduate with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and is licensed as a Professional Engineer. As of May 15, 2023, Dee also serves as President of Gunderson Marine, a Shipyard and Complex Fabrication facility that has a long history of being the premier West Coast Barge Builder and is actively looking to generate additional Complex Fabrication work such as Electric/Hybrid/Conventional Tugboats, Wind Energy, Wave Buoys, Hydropower and Fish Passage Fabrications in approximately 600,000 sf of Fabrication Facility. Dee has forty five years of experience in all aspects of heavy construction and construction engineering including 10 years with Kiewit Pacific as an Engineer, Project Engineer and, finally, a Project Manager on the award-winning Broadway Pier Renovation Project in San Diego, California. He has been a Principal of AAC for the last 30 years and sponsored numerous projects that received a National AGC-Aon Build America Award, as well as three Marvin Black Partnering Awards. In 2011 AAC’s Lake Oswego Interceptor Sewer Project was the Grand Prize Winner of the AGC-Aon Build America Winners and was recognized as the most significant construction project in the U.S.Dee was elected in 1996 to the West Linn City Council, was re-elected in 1998, and served as Council President. He also served as a West Linn Planning Commissioner, Vice-Chair of the South Fork Water Board. Dee served as president of AGC Oregon-Columbia Chapter in 2011 and currently serves as the Legislative Committee Chair. He is also the President of the Schweiger Memorial Scholarship Fund that awarded scholarships totaling over $1 million since its inception in 2000 to students achieving excellence in the pursuit of careers in the construction industry.
