About Dee Ensign

A Certified Physician Assistant. 9 years background in critical care as a registered nurse. I graduated from Midwestern University in 2019 and started work with Acute Care Surgical Specialists as a Trauma Surgery PA. I worked with them for about 18 months and gained a wealth of knowledge. I transitioned then to Sonoran Orthopaedics and have been an Ortho Trauma PA for 3 years now at 2 Level One Trauma Centers. I work closely with Mayo Clinic residents for their Trauma rotations, and was just awarded with a "2024 PA of the Year" award from the Mayo Clinic Residency program.I believe my nursing career gave me the strongest medical foundation possible, which has been significantly enhanced and expanded upon with my physician assistant education, and work experience as a surgical PA. I am hardworking, a team player, and believe in positivity in the workplace.
