I've had some amazing experiences throughout my life and worked with great people along the way. Much of my career has been with non-profits (Chamber of Commerce CEO, SAAFE House Marketing & Development) working with a professional staff and many volunteers. But I have spent the last several years in broadcasting sales and marketing. Now, my husband and I have relocated back to the Houston/Cypress area near our family, and I am doing something I've always had a yearning to do...teaching Art to children. I'm at a charter school The School of Science and Technology-The Woodlands and I LOVE IT! Even though its a pay cut from other positions I've has it has a "Physiological Paycheck" that cannot be replaced. I also love to paint and do commissioned work! Art keeps the dust off my soul!!I am comfortable in leadership rolls, but I believe that "There is no end to what we can achieve if we don't mind who gets the credit", so I am comfortable to take a back seat when needed. I have the mind of an entrepreneur, the creativity of an artist and the enthusiasm it takes to see a job well done, and love to work with people committed to excellence and a very high level of customer service/satisfaction. I am not satisfied with mediocrity - I want to see progress, growth and professionalism, but I like to have fun along the way!I am not fresh out of college, and may not be as tech-savvy as some, but I understand business, budgets, marketing, plans, goals, community, communication, collaboration and creative excellence and would love to be in the company of likeminded people. My pet peeve - "because that's the way we have always done it". COVID has shown us there is more than one way to conduct business, and sometimes you have to think outside the box. I am good at coloring outside the lines to find good solutions!
