Document Control Specialist
CurrentCollect, maintain and distribute all documents necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes that insure conformance to customer requirements. Develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center. Manage the operation of the document control center to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner. Specific Responsibilities: • Collect and maintain files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes. • Timely distribution of latest revision level of AutoCAD/PDF documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution. To perform the typical tasks and duties of the position successfully, the knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are required. Knowledge of: · Principles and practices of records management and control systems · File management practices and procedures. · Modern office methods, practices and procedures. · Personal computers and appropriate office software. Ability to: · Work independently within established guidelines. · Organize effective procedures of records management activities. · Provide effective assistance in the management of a complex records management program. · Prepare a variety of records, reports and forms. · Handle the storage and retrieval of information in an accurate, consistent and thorough manner. · Communicate effectively in oral and written format. · Exercise tact and diplomacy, using excellent interpersonal skills. · Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of dutiesSouthern Environmental, Inc.
