Most notably, I was responsible for obtaining Chest Pain Accreditation, developing a code stemi team that improved door to balloon time to under 60 minutes, and for developing relationships with EMS which included the EMS community as team members in achieving our Code Stemi and Chest Pain Center Accreditation goals. We also develped a Code Stroke team patterned after our Code Stemi team. All of these initiatives were implemented through teamwork and team building both within our hospital and within our community. Our Code Stemi Team won the Henry Ford Quality Award in 2006.
