Enlisted in the Air Force in June 1992 and retired September 2013.

Managed and supervised all shift operations. Scheduled personnel for duty as well as time off, counseled and recommended disciplinary action. Conducted training for personnel assigned to shift, evaluated training progress, documented training and conducted position certification evaluations. Reviewed all official reports, traffic citations and other official police documents generated by the shift for accuracy. Provided security for 2,600 personnel and Air Force critical resources vital to National and Homeland Security. Apprehended law violators, issued traffic citations, conducted searches on persons and property, investigates crimes and complaints, conducted criminal interviews with suspects. On-scene commander for actual and exercise major criminal and disaster incidents that affected the installation, safeguarding over $2.2B in critical assets. Coordinated with FEMA, fire department, and medical personnel to expedite the response, notification, withdrawal, and recovery operations for hurricanes and other natural disasters within the southeast region of the United States. Managed and provided oversight of issuance of installation entry credentials for 52,000 visitors, contractors, and Air Force employees. Conducted background checks for all personnel gaining access to the installation and denied access to those individuals with criminal histories who posed a threat to personnel and resources on the installation. Developed plans, policies, procedures and detailed instruction for installation entry control, reducing the risk to personnel and critical infrastructure. Briefed senior base leadership on access control procedures and threats to the installation. Communicated and educated the public on established procedures, policies and laws of the installation to ensure proper compliance. Trained security managers on requirements of accessing restricted areas and verified security clearances of applicants.

Provided professional training expertise on matters unique to the US Air Force basic training environment for selected male and female personnel. Supervised and trained over 600 civilians to become Air Force airmen. Maintained comprehensive records on trainees to ensure strengths, weaknesses and adaptability factors were documented. Instructed 3,000 airmen on life saving combat skills. Mentored and provided counseling to airmen struggling to adjust to military life.

Provided command and control for law enforcement posts and patrols. Dispatched and coordinated response of law enforcement patrols to traffic incidents, natural disasters, domestic and physical assaults, theft of property, and other law enforcement infractions. Operated, monitored and inputted data into the Nation Crime Information Center computer system, Advantor Alarm anti-robbery system, and the Video Enhancement Security System camera. Documented all patrol responses and incidents on the Security Forces Blotter and reviewed product for accuracy. Monitored 911 dispatch line and dispatched patrols for individuals needing assistance.

Developed, analyzed, and evaluated security programs and implemented DOD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies and procedures. Established and conducted security training concepts, programs, procedures and practices to assist security managers in operating their internal security programs. Reviewed solicitation and contract documents to ensure they included the appropriate security clauses and language and attended pre-contract meetings to ensure project managers were aware of the procedures and regulations. Established, authored, and implemented local procedures for Industrial, Reviewed DD Forms 254, Contract Security Classification Specifications for technical accuracy and sufficiency of classification guidance prior to approval. Information, and Personnel Security programs. Conducted and analyzed areas of concern found during annual Information Security Program Reviews and recommended solutions. Briefed investigating officials conducting security incident investigations. Reviewed the security incident investigation report and up-channeled the findings if compromise of classified information had occurred.

Established, maintained, processed, and disposed of Security Information Files and provided oversight and documentation to assist commanders in determining SIF establishment.
