I worked in a generic Special School .i was a teacher of a group of young people with low functioning severe Autism.where I created approaches and stratiges to support the young people.the students did not use verbal communication, Their biggest emotion was anger, so my focus was the need for instruction in social skills and social competence. Cooperative learning strategies were very effective.
I supported 5 men with learing difficulties, this including ASD and Downs Syndrome, the clients I worked with all had different levels of Challenging Behaviour. I worked as a social worker where I supported adults in their home, care, employment, leisure and every day life.
