Dee Sunshine is a writer, editor, artist, electronic noise maker. He started writing poetry whilst at school, his first poem published in the Lochaber High School Magazine in 1977. He won the school poetry prize two years later. His first published pamphlet was "The Children Wear Rainbows, The Adults Dress In Greys" (1981). He was editor of Dada Dance Magazine from 1984-1990. In 1986 he started studying at Edinburgh College Of Art, going on to win a number of prizes, including a scholarship to Florence. Throughout the 1990s he worked freelance as an artist, illustrator, graphic designer, community artist, as well as a three year stint in the Scottish film industry. His first poetry collection, "The Bad Seed" was published in 1998; the same year as he launched Acid Angel Magazine. The AA Independent Press Guide (originally the Acid Angel Small Press Guide) started life as a supplement to Acid Angel Magazine, but after ther demise of Acid Angel in 2001, the AA Independent Press Guide was launched as a separate entity. It's format changed over the years, as technololgy changed. First it was a magazine, then a CD rom, and later it was online. In 2004, Dee's second poetry collection, "Dropping Ecstasy With The Angels" was published by Bluechrome in 2004. His novel, "Stealing Heaven From The Lips Of God" was published later that year. In 2006, Dee edited The Book Of Hopes And Dreams, a charity anthology that featured many high profile poets. That same year, Dee changed his second name to Sunshine. He was previously known as Dee Rimbaud, and continued to use "Dee Rimbaud" as his pen name for a few more years. In 2012, as Dee Sunshine now, his third poetry collection, "Visions Of The Drowning Man" was published by Skylight Press. Since 2006, Dee has been mostly nomadic; travelling, living and working mainly in France, Spain, India and Thailand. As of October 2020, he has been staying in the Highlands of Scotland, using lockdown as an opportunity to work on various creative projects, including the planned re-launch of the AA Independent Press Guide, which will rise like a phoenix out of the ashes on Beltain; 1st May 2021.Instagram at www.instagram.com/dee.sunshine.creationsArt at Saatchi Online Art Gallery - https://www.saatchiart.com/dee-sunshineAmbient and electro music at www.soundcloud.com/yoshi-sunshine-electronicaDark ambient poetry at www.soundcloud.com/suicide-poetryMore poetry at www.soundcloud.com/dee-sunshine-ecstasyWhatsApp - +44 770 333 2737Email: shooglemail@googlemail.com
