A 504(c) Membership organization providing national tournaments, education and support to approximately 167,000 members. Assets approximate $14 million with $16 million in annual revenues. Provided financial and operational leadership to the organization of approximately 275 employees. Improved Financial reporting to BOD Finance Committee and 25 member Board, led restructuring of headquarters staff, implemented performance based appraisals and other policies and procedures to more effectively manage operations. Proposed and implemented Pension Plan Freeze and changes to 401(k) plan. Managed investments and provided strategic planning for managing financial and regulatory risk.

Provided financial and tax accounting and regulatory research for clients with custom portfolios. Established reports to clients, operational reviews and annual audits of fund managers. Managed external audit and tax return reporting process and other requirements of management contracts and partnership agreements.

Worked with the CEO and Board of Directors to establish and ensure the successful implementation of Soulsville strategic initiatives to move the start-up organization to fully operational. Initiated a marketing plan to drive turnstile count and gift shop revenues. Implemented employee benefit plans: 125 Cafeteria Plan, 401(k) plan, and direct deposit for payroll. Managed team to redesign website that allowed internet gift shop purchases and increased sales. Soulsville is a nonprofit organization operating the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, a tribute museum to soul music and the artists of Stax Recording Studio; Stax Music Academy which provides after school music education, perfomance opportunities and a summer camp for at-risk youth; and the Soulsville Charter School serving grades 6-12.

Financial, accounting, tax and general management consulting provided to small businesses and nonprofits. Implemented strategy and completed all required filings for new nonprofit clients establishing 501(c)(3) status. Coordinated operational audit and preparation for final external audit of a regional office of an international nonprofit organization.
