During the summer months our intern team datalogged 20% of the 65 packaged heat pumps for energy efficiency during occupied and unoccupied hours. We also inspected and ran each of the 65 units through a series of test functions checking for operations/maintenance/repair issues.As a team member, I contributed to a written energy analysis and operation/maintenance/repair guidelines of packaged heat pumps to lower energy consumption.

Starr Design, Inc. is a general construction firm specializing in residential remodel and custom cabinets and finish work. Together with my husband we have over 30 years of experience in the construction field. We work with our clients and city/state officials to insure that we design each project to meet the expectations of all and comply with state and city building codes to insure approval of submitted building plans and final project.My time is divided between running the office and working out in the field. Office hours consists of the usual paper duties needed to run a business and then designing projects, researching materials and subcontractors, and writing/presenting client proposals are all thrown into the mix. Time spent out in the field is occupied with monitoring delivery of construction materials, supervising the job site and actually using a hammer and power tools throughout the day! Our company goals are to have a little fun, while creating a safe and productive environment for our clients, employees and completing our projects on the scheduled timeline.
