Dee Anne Heath is the director of external affairs at the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. She is responsible for managing all agency communications, focusing on refining the agency’s branding and messaging, as well as conducting public opinion research. Heath has 25 years experience in strategic brand communications, with a broad range of agency experience from national comprehensive advertising campaigns to grassroots campaigns. Most recently serving as Sanders\Wingo’s senior vice president of The Knowledge Group, she managed and oversaw the execution of a wide scope of campaigns for national, regional and local clients. She also provided strategic direction, planning, and communications training for clients and internal teams. Heath created a market evaluation system for various national clients to help prioritize advertising spending, helped launch numerous multimillion-dollar movie campaigns; created and managed satellite office programs; helped launch various interactive campaigns, including text and online components; and created direct response campaigns for large consumer accounts that helped provide tangible return on investment for media spending. Heath has also served as the media director and later managing director at EnviroMedia, and has over a decade of experience at GSD&M. She has worked on various political and social marketing campaigns, and served as the vice president of communications on the Austin Advertising Federation’s board of directors. She received a bachelor of advertising degree from The University of Texas at Austin and has taught Advanced Media Strategies there.Heath’s Texas-specific experience includes Green Mountain Energy, TxDOT (Don’t Mess with Texas and a variety of other anti–drinking-and-driving campaigns), Texas Department of Health Services, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Macaroni Grill, On the Border, MasterCard, AT&T, Texas Lottery, Texas Tourism, Wal-Mart, DreamWorks, Melvin Simon Malls, Subway and BMW.
