Due to my many types of employment, I have cultivated my marketing skills by paying close attention in each industry. I have incorporated marketing into every facet of my professional career. My time in the real estate industry instilled in me an appreciation of being detailed oriented down to the words used to describe products. This was very useful during my schooling, but also during my time in the food industry.Prior to my time in the real estate field, I worked many years in the banking industry. I gained a very good understanding of the principles of banking. I worked in the proof department (also known as bookkeeping), but was quickly moved to the teller line. I excelled in this position. I was promoted to back up head teller in a few short months. This position gave me the confidence in the role of management that I would use later in my career.From 2010 until the present, I have successfully run my own business. While now it is just a side job, I still thoroughly enjoy it. Through running my own business, I have continued to grow my marketing skills. Valuable lessons have been learned through trial and error, but I have no regrets because it has made me a better business woman.The experience I have as the Chief Operations Officer at Slick Rick’s Foods, LLC has given me a new appreciation for the communication skills needed to ensure customer satisfaction. Not only has my own business given me many answers to unasked questions during my employment in the food industry, but my venture into this industry has given me a new respect for oral communication. Serving people is often overlooked by customers, but it is the greatest joy when you know you have guided the customer in the right direction.
