Dee Buchanan brings more than two decades of Capitol Hill and lobbying experience to OGR's clients. As a former House leadership chief of staff and top aide to the leader of the conservative movement in the House and House Financial Services Committee chairman, Dee possesses a truly unique perspective and skill set to help clients navigate the new power dynamic in the House.Named by Roll Call as one of Capitol Hill’s “Fabulous 50”, Buchanan worked for House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling for eleven years, eight of those as both official chief of staff and chief of staff at the House Republican Conference. Buchanan also served as the chairman’s top liaison to House and Senate Republican leadership. As chief of staff for the House Republican Conference, Buchanan spent two years designing and implementing policy and communications strategies and member service programs for all House Republicans and their staff. Prior to that, Dee played a key role in Hensarling's rise thorough the conservative ranks in the House, culminating in the chairmanship of the Republican Study Committee. For the past ten years, Dee has led and served on many of OGR's bipartisan strategic and direct advocacy teams. His engagement has primarily focused on financial services, tax, energy and innovation-focused clients, but his deep relationships in both the House and Senate position him to deliver results for every OGR client. His first professional home was in the Texas Congressional Delegation, with whom he retains close working relationships and friendships.Buchanan grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and now resides with his family in Alexandria, Virginia
