San Francisco Beautiful is a long-standing civic improvement non-profit that works to create, enhance and protect the unique beauty and livability of San Francisco. I ran the organization as Executive Director for 11 years.

I was the Executive Director of this Planned Parenthood affiliate until it merged with other Bay Area affiliates to become Planned Parenthood Golden Gate. I became Vice President for External Affairs of PPGG, overseeing public policy, education and communications.

The Women's Needs Center of the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics provided free health care to underprivileged and homeless women. I was director of this clinic on Haight Street until I was recruited for the position of Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Marin, Sonoma and Mendocino.

I ran this women's health care organization for almost 4 years. This was my first job out of graduate school - University of California, Berkeley where I earned my Masters Degree in Public Health. I worked as an educator for Planned Parenthood in Southern California for several years before going to Cal.
