2018-2019A collaboration with poets Julia Bird and Mike Sims on the collaborative film-poem project, PaperTrail.Dec 2017 - Jan 2018Ian Byers | The Tension Of MaterialsThis film was made with the intention of shining a light on a body of new work by Ian Byers. Ian was filmed and interviewed at EVE Gallery, Edenbridge, Kent. The work on display brings together various modes of expression; drawing, printing, found objects, ceramic sculptural form, and a crude sensual use of clay.December 2016 - June 2017 | Speak Machine | in collaboration with Forest Poets and The Pumphouse Museum. A response to the E17 Art Trail theme of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths), Speak Machine is a creative collaboration between its originator, the filmmaker Dee Honeybun, and the E17-based poetry collective, Forest Poets. The project began with a conversation between Dee Honeybun and Mike Sims (Forest Poets) about a possible collaboration for the E17 Art Trail 2017, and how the Pumphouse Museum, with its unrivalled collection of the engines, vehicles and other machines made in Walthamstow and the Lea Valley, could provide the inspiration. The first stage was an exciting open mic evening at the Rose and Crown pub in March, at which poets and writers performed STEAM-inspired poems. Recordings of these performances have been incorporated within the finished film. Lines from participating poems have been sampled and remixed into the community poem ‘Speak Machine’.

Sportability is a participatory project to unlock and celebrate skills and abilities, to reveal personal histories and community stories through the legacy of sport and to document them using animation and video. Sportability created inventive new games exploring coordination,teamwork,perseverance and imagination. We worked with Whitefields Schools and Centre,Fathers Football Group,The Walthamstow Garden Party and Church Hill Nursery.
