I am an experienced leader in operational management, transformational and cultural change in social care, health and associated partners. Having worked in service for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs for over 20 years I have proven success in creating a shared vision for, and then seeing through, major strategic change in established organisations. This has been achieved through working with people who have disabilities, their families, staff groups and partner organisations.

Head Of Development And PartnershipConsensus Support Jan 2014 - Jul 2016Central And Eastern England (Inc North London) Prev London, South And East Eng.In my current role I have been covering the whole of the South of England including London but I have move locations to work across the Central and Eastern England (including North London) following a recent reorganisation and recruitment.I have mainly lead the development of new services across London and South England with a number of projects currently live in Surrey and Essex. These are both the creation of supported living schemes for people with learning disabilities and complex needs, specifically those who present challenges and have been or are at risk of entering an assessment and treatment care environment. I have successfully opened a residential service consisting of eight individual flats for people moving out of or avoiding Assessment and treatment service. This service filled very quickly and has been successfully running for about a year. My role includes working with local commissioners, the finding of opportunities, the creation of a business case, the design of the service, all associated project management of building and setup of the new service. Once the service is operationally established and is providing the appropriate EBITDARM for the organisation, the service becomes part of the wider operational group in the organisation.I provide expert assistance and troubleshoot services that are experiencing difficulties and hold account responsibility with our main partners and commissioners. As an organisation Consensus have over 70 services for people with learning disabilities across the UK. The services range from Supported Living, specialist step down services, support to people leaving Assessment and treatment services, specific services for people with Prader Willi Syndrome, to residential care and day opportunities. Consensus main area of expertise is in developing bespoke services in partnership with individuals, families and commissioners. -

Valuing People Now Delivery ManagerKent County Council Jul 2009 - Nov 2012As the lead for strategic management and delivery of Valuing People Now for Kent County Council I worked with and through partner agencies to deliver transformational change across all services for people with learning disabilities in Kent. This included services in Social Care, Health, Housing, Employment, Personalisation, Transition and Citizenship. In order to create real cultural change, I lead the recent restructure of the Kent Learning Disability Partnership Board and Delivery Groups as above, plus Transition, Young People, Advocacy, Family/Carers, Hate Crime, Justice, Workforce Development, Providers (especially 3rd sector). These changes have moved the board and structure from an aspirational approach to being more operationally focused, while not losing sight of the broader personalisation agenda. The structure includes representation from people with disabilities, families, staff groups, providers, professional and stakeholders across all public services. I also managed to gain high level political sign up including co-opting the cabinet member for Health and Social Care to chair the Board. -
