About Deeksha Misri

I am currently working as a Computational Associate in Dr. Morgan Sheng's lab in the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. The lab focuses on identifying the genes directly impacting schizophrenia pathologies, as well as developing new drug therapies for treatment. I am interested in computer programming, and am actively working on honing my coding skills. I am currently using Java, Unix, Python, and R for my research. As an aspiring computational biologst, I am looking for roles and experience in bioinformatics so I can face new challenges and learn more about the field. In addition to my scientific interests, I am also passionate about increasing the representation and access to equal opportunities for women in STEM.
