Deeksha Goswami is a passionate and experienced urban planner who applies her skills in architectural design, development, and research to create sustainable and inclusive solutions for urban challenges. She is currently the Research and Development Coordinator at Studio Ma:Ya, a multidisciplinary design studio that works on projects ranging from residential and commercial to urban research-based initiatives. In this role, she manages project associates in the design and planning department, creates working drawings for architectural projects, conducts feasibility studies, and engages in business development for projects. She has been involved in several impactful projects, such as the Urban Streetscape project, which aimed to improve the walkability and livability of urban spaces, and the Urban Flooding Scenarios in India project, which analyzed the causes and effects of urban flooding and proposed mitigation strategies. She has also published her thesis on Policy and Governance in the International Journal of Architecture. Deeksha holds a Masters in Planning (Urban Planning) from Sushant School of Planning and Development, Ansal University, where she received multiple awards for her academic excellence, including the "Best Studio Project" accolade from Transparence and Saint Gobain-India. She is also pursuing a UI/UX Designer program at Great Learning, where she is learning the principles and practices of user interface and user experience design. She is a registered architect by the Council of Architecture and an associate member of the Institute of Town Planners India. Deeksha's goal is to continue to explore and contribute to the fields of urban planning, design, and research, and to leverage her skills to enhance the usability and accessibility of urban solutions. She is motivated by her curiosity and creativity, and by her desire to make a positive difference in the urban environment and society.
