Founding Partner of TAYYŪN, a creative research and ecological design studio. Our work spans ecological urbanism, native habitat creation, regenerative design, green infrastructure, and grassroots biodiversity action. Projects include:• Urban Forests. Creation of native mini-forests as a new model of urban landscaping for climate resilience, native biodiversity, and human wellbeing.• Ecological Urbanism. Developing strategies, plans and designs that challenge mainstream landscape design and integrate native biodiversity, microclimate design and authentic urban nature, in collaboration with city officials, international development agencies, real estate developers, architects and urban designers.• Indigenous Seeds. A citizen-led species recovery action that includes documentation, seed harvesting, and propagation of indigenous plants, covering over 50 native species so far including 12 endangered ones. A collaboration with Mujeb Nursery.• Cross-Species Architecture. An exploration of architecture and city space as a mediator for biologically-inclusive practices. Interventions include the Urban Pigeon Tower as part of Amman Design Week (2019), and Insect Hotel installation at Darat al-Funun (2022).• Workshops . Courses . Lectures. Designed and delivered workshops, courses and lectures on topics related to ecological urbanism and native biodiversity. Workshops were attended by international development agencies, municipal officials & staff, farming communities, architects, urban designers, students and nature enthusiasts.
