I undergo a series of practicals for different units every year throughout my course, which equip me with the laboratory experience necessary for pursuing a career in medical or pharmaceutical research. I had the ability to function in a PC2 lab, a synthetic chemistry lab, a biochemistry lab, and a cell biology lab. I gained knowledge and understanding of common laboratory practices, and I honed the skills I learnt through applying that knowledge in different settings over the duration of my course, and I am still doing that.
