It is my firm belief that everyone carries within them a unique spark that needs to be fiercely protected, because this spark lights up a purposeful passion and creative vision to find and nurture even the tiniest bud of opportunity that blooms on a rugged mountain of challenges. This belief has led me to devote much of my two-decade long career as a fervent champion of enabling individuals and communities to harness the power of digital transformation. From growing the regional developer community while at Microsoft to empowering women investors and tech entrepreneurs through my labor of love Women Spark, I have worked towards connecting people to the right resources and skills needed to spread their wings and soar. I consider it my life’s purpose to uplift women, youth, and every single marginalized person who dares to dream for a better future in the face of adversity.As the founding Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), I am a tech diplomat, connecting nations, public sector, private sector, and civil society to facilitate positive change in the realm of digital transformation that ensures every person, business, and nation has the opportunity and means to prosper in the digital future. We do this at DCO through global multi-stakeholder cooperation and collaboration to advance the growth of an inclusive and sustainable digital economy. Together with our 16 (and growing) member states we are fostering digital inclusion, undertaking joint advocacy at a global level, championing world-class research on developing regulatory frameworks to govern emerging technologies, encouraging talent development & upskilling, and spearheading various initiatives to advance the digital economy by leveraging digital innovation. I believe in fostering multi-stakeholder cooperation for digital inclusion because that is the only way to achieving #DigitalProsperity4All.
