Currently, I am the Assistant Manager for the Compounding and Wastewater Treatment department of Medi Legion Sdn. Bhd. Previously, I worked as a Process Monitoring & Analysis (PMA) Engineer for ExxonMobil. Graduated with a Master of Engineering (Hons) - Chemical Engineering in July 2017 with a Second-Class Honours Upper Division (2:1) from Swansea University, United Kingdom. Besides that, I also had the opportunity to work as a ProductionEngineer for Maxter Glove Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. I am a self-motivated engineer with a “can-do” and “will-do” attitude and most of all, I am passionate and committed in becoming a successful engineer and looking forward to use my knowledge and experience in helping the company and myself to achieve higher standards.

    • Started my career here with their sister company AF Solution Sdn. Bhd. as a Project Engineer. I have assisted in a glove manufacturing machine assembly and commissioning process. Then as a progression, I was transferred to Medi Legion Sdn. Bhd. (Parent Company) to lead the compounding and also the wastewater treatment department. Moreover, I was promoted as the Assistant Manager for the Compounding and Wastewater Treatment department. My list of responsibilities are listed below;- Responsible for scheduling chemical preparations and dispersions.- Responsible for calculating and formulating the latex, coagulant and polymer compound formulation to meet the desired quality and output.- Ensuring chemical usage control and its supplies are sufficient to the operation team.- Ensure that the wastewater treatment plant is operating at an optimum condition and the water quality that is exceeding the plant meets all requirement that is set by the Department of Environment Malaysia. - Ensure all daily parameters of the wastewater treatment plants are within specifications and troubleshoot if necessary to maintain parameters are within specification. - Ensure all proper legislations and licenses are obtained to use and store chemicals.- Lead the team of operators and staffs to ensure daily operation runs smoothly.• Besides that, I was also given a few responsibilities that was beyond my official job scope. Those responsibilities are listed below;- Production and operation planning based on the order amount and loading date.- Lead the lab team to ensure proper chemical testing are done to ensure the operation team are provided with the accurate parameters results to ensure smooth operation.

This role involves engineering optimization and troubleshooting to ensure that the production process meets operating envelope and limits. This is done to;- Ensure plant is operating at an optimum condition and is providing maximum amount of profit- Ensure all safety requirements and regulations are met to prevent any major incidents• Built and sustained long-term and daily monitoring packages for the Singapore Olefins Production Plant using monitoring software and tools like SeeQ, JMP, Excel, etc

    • Worked alongside the Senior Process Engineer of the company on one of the major project where the task was to propose a new pipework design to prevent cross-contamination between different type of weak liquor gelatins (Bovine gelatin and porcine gelatin).- Investigated the possible source of cross-contamination.- Designed various proposal and checked with Process Engineer of the company.- Designed a P&ID on the proposed pipework layout.- Performed heat loss calculations on the available pipework and proposed pipework. - Calculated a simple cost benefit analysis.• Investigated on the loss of gelatin from 3-body evaporators in the process plant.• Designed P&ID on various equipment available in the process plant.• Most importantly, I have learnt that communication between inter-department staffs within the process plant is vital for the sustainability of the company.
