• Senior technical resource tasked with project team support of company Security Management effort. This project was designed to support management of securities for investment data services. For the last year, have been required to work with users in extensive screen design using Oracle Forms 6.0/5.4. Gathered requirements and provided debugging and enhancements to this application using Oracle Forms and PL/SQL packages. • Designed different screens to manage and trade securities as this application was implemented on a view. Instead of trigger written on this view to update the underlying tables, this trigger calls a package, which further updates the different tables after evaluating several different conditions. • Wrote several different PL/SQL packages to implement validations and default values for the application. Most of the implementation of the application is done at packages level to make it centralized, independent, and reusable.• Responsible for production support for Investment data services, so actively writing SQL scripts for production support. Extensively used BULK COLLECT in PL/SQL to reduce network traffic and context switching. Used hints to use different indexes on tables to improve the query performance. Written different reports for data comparisons and exception reporting. • Designed and developed an application to load NAV (Net Asset Value) data from vendor supplied files into company’s Database. Used Perl to write scripts to get files from ftp server to local server.
