As a recent MSc Cyber Security graduate from the University of Birmingham, I’m passionate about safeguarding both IT and OT systems, leveraging a diverse skill set that spans penetration testing, threat intelligence, incident response, network security, and GRC. My journey in cybersecurity has been driven by hands-on experience, personal projects, and a constant desire to stay ahead of emerging threats.During my role as a Cyber Security Analyst, I conducted vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on critical banking applications, identifying high-severity vulnerabilities and contributing to a 40% improvement in security posture. My internship experiences has also introduced me to vulnerability reporting and compliance audits within the banking sector, where I gained experience aligning security practices with regulatory standards.For my personal projects, I implemented a SIEM solution using Wazuh, integrating Suricata for IDS and OSQuery for endpoint monitoring, resulting in enhanced security event detection and faster incident response.
