In late 2017, I set up my own brand (My Learning Place) and now work as a self-employed teacher/translator and language consultant for private students, schools and businesses throughout Italy. Until 2019, I also cooperated on various ELT projects for Pearson Italia, including writing and delivering training courses on Pearson exams for private language school and state school teachers. In addition to the above, I also provide translation and proofreading services for my clients as well as ad-hoc teacher training courses for private language schools.Since the pandemic, I have mainly provided my services online. I have taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and English for Special Purposes (ESP) since 1993. I moved to Rome in 1996 where I started working as a freelance teacher for Inlingua and the British School group. From 2000 to 2017, I was the Director of Studies at British School Fleming, a small, private English language school in north Rome, where I taught, supervised, organised, trained, tested, recruited, troubleshot and generally supported the business as much as possible. From 1993 to 2010, I also taught EFL on the summer school at the University of Westminster in London every August.
