I am primarily responsible for troubleshooting network connectivity/configuration issue betweenSophos XG, XGS Firewalls and the internal network as well as troubleshoot emailcommunication issue through Sophos Email Security Appliance keeping the client’s businessafloat with security and availability of utmost priority. I spread awareness of best securitypractices among the clients and help them with configuring the security policies according totheir business requirement. I have helped the company to attain high customer satisfaction byprioritizing the case criticality with timely response and update.

Responsible for basic deployment,configuration and troubleshooting of Sophos Firewalls andSophos UTMs (The NextGen Firewalls), whichincludes modules such as,1. Web Protection/Web Filtering/ApplicationFiltering, Intrusion Prevention, Firewall and QoSmanagement.2. IPSec VPN, SSL VPN and L2TP & PPTP VPNs.3. Email Protection - Anti Spam & Anti Virus.Reporting the False-positive or False-negativesamples to relevant teams.4. Maitainance of logging & reporting.5. User Level Authentication and Single Sign Onauthentication by integrating with AD, LDAP, Radiusservers.6. Managing Sophos End-Point Security andControl clients and Wireless Access Points whicharemanaged by Sophos Firewalls.Troubleshooting the problems pertaining toperformance tuning, Network Administration,Application Conflicts and System Bugs.Also troubleshooting the issues to ensureminimum downtime and maximum availability of thenetwork.Analysis of network packets by capturing itthrough packet sniffer tool such as wire-shark orbasic linux command.Fine tune the Sophos Firewalls/Sophos UTMs to runsmoothly along with the different network/securitydevices.Work interactivly with the Escalation Team andthe development team in order to resolve theissues at the earliest or to bring in a featurerequests and resolve the bugs.Successfully handling and coordinating withthe large variety of customer spanning from APACregion to North & South america and also Europeancountries, to resolve their network and securityrelated issue with the concern of the Sophos Firewalls/Sophos UTM in order to enhance their networkoptimization.Effectively execute cases in order to achieverFDR (First Day Resolution), SLA agreement andCustomer Satisfaction and also to ensure that theperformance parameters are met.
