A Public Health professional with a vision to offer quality healthcare with Ph.D( awaiting final defence very soon) in the area of digital health and information systems. Primarily interested to contribute towards universal health coverage by applying holistic approaches like systems thinking using ICTs as enablers. Thrust areas include user research, participatory action research, systems approaches, strategic planning and designing of ICT enabled integrated care models, malnutrition management , preventive health care, tobacco control , health promoting schools, life course analysis, nutritional epidemiology. Developed tools ( Indian copyright obtained) for assessing diet quality in conformance with NIN guidelines. Designed ICT applications for tracking and managing Severe Acute Malnutrition for public healthcare settings connecting the primary health centre and tertiary care centres in Karnataka. Co-ordinated the project on malnutrition by collaborating with front line health workers, medical stakeholders, community stakeholders and technology stakeholders.Worked in the area of Dentistry for over 13 years as a general practitioner managing the clinical services independently. A good academician with a passion for teaching. Effectively delivered lectures for dental undergraduate students and facilitated them both clinical as well as academic backgrounds.Certification in Systems Thinking in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, USAAmerican Heart Association certified BLS providerPossess Masters degree in Hospital administration worked on NABH documentation. Taught electives in Change Management, Basics in Hospital administration and planning, Organizational behavior in healthcare management institutes for a period of around 2 years.
