  GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITIONResponsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost-effective way. Oversees the distribution and transportation of goods from the manufacturer to the consumer. Dependent on the size and structure of the organization, may plan and oversee the whole process or may work in part of the chain. Typically, a strong leadership skill essential for success. Will have people and budgetary management responsibility.RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES Receive Customer PO, review all open orders provided by all regions - EMEA, APAC, INDIA & AMERICAS. Liase with planner to ensure all the open orders are in perfect execution and determine the delivery dates for all the orders. Planning and expediting outbound shipments for EMEA, APAC, INDIA & AMERICAS ie: Prepare -Shipping Instruction, booking with shipping agent, container planning etc. Effective Communication on customer enquiries, stock availability, shipping cost and delivery issues. Prepare Sales reports – Forecasts and Outstanding orders for APAC region. Handle inbound shipments from outsource suppliers and ensuring inbound transportation cost is optimized and ensure receiving quality & condition of goods is up to expectation. Utilize various methodologies, such as process mapping, Lean Logistics, Six Sigma to plan out improvements in process and execution. Prepare cost analysis for MITI and Malay Chamber of Commerce. Identify the best cost-effective procedure for transportation. Analyze logistics data to improve value performance. Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to ensure a free-flowing process. Resolve issues regarding shipped orders. Provide training to staff and monitoring their performance and progress, and to lead, supervise and motivate staff to make an effective and efficient team.
