As an Audit Principal of a regional Silicon Valley accounting firm, I serve privately held clients in the construction and technology industries. I also serve as the Principal in-charge of our Audit/Assurance Group.My technology experience includes work in the software, hardware, semiconductor and medical devices sectors and helping my clients navigate through complex accounting issues encountered in their domestic as well as international operations. I am also well versed in employee benefit plan audits. I earned my Masters degree in Economics from Rutgers University and obtained my Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Accounting from the University of Mumbai, India. I am an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), a statutory body equivalent to the AICPA as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). I have achieved certification as a Construction Industry Technician (CIT). I have also successfully completed the certificate course in IFRS for SMEs conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. I am also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).Prior to joining Abbott, Stringham & Lynch, I worked in public accounting in India, where I represented clients in the income tax courts, prepared the income tax returns of corporate and non-corporate clients, and guided clients on legal matters related to double taxation and foreign exchange remittances.
