Deepa's journey began in Bharatanatyam but she carved a niche and established herself as a “Dancer to watch” in Mohiniyattam. She has toured many countries, presented her art in many Dance Festivals and won the hearts of connoisseurs and critics. She is among a few who has done Junior and Senior Fellowship in the fields of Performing arts and Indology, under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. She is: a resource person for Mohiniyattam in Centre for Culture, Resources and Training (CCRT), and an empanelled artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Besides art, she has completed her Masters in History and is a certified yoga and healing chants instructor. Deepa's expertise extending in Indian art, Indian cultural history and Indic knowledge traditions, makes her a practicing academic and culture expert. She conducts thematic yoga retreats and culture trips for adults and school children.
