As the Project Manager on the team, we were choosen amongst stiff competition from 10 other teams that pitched their ideas. The goal of the project was to understand their user base and suggest how to choose best route to move their goods by using machine learning to model various options. Services offered by Expeditors were based on various risks factors - weather, crime associated with routes, cargo sensitivity etc., we received the various risk factors in the form of a dataset from Expeditors which we wrangled in order to test multiple alorightms. We used AWS to deploy the solution and set stage for an enterprise level risk evaluation software.
