In this role, I was responsible for :● Driving the entire software development activity for every new image processing chip (COACH) released by CSR’s mobile division.● Matrix managing all the software teams spread across various CSR sites in USA, Israel, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Korea & China. ● Interfacing & synchronizing between different cross-functional groups within CSR (product management, VLSI, software development, QA, release management, operations, sales and field offices) to drive software development for bring up & productization. ● Performing program analysis, managing risk by influencing necessary course corrections and resolving conflicts.● Establishing and driving internal processes (e.g. requirements management, continuous integration) for increasing efficiency of software delivery.

● Led an application engineering team to develop embedded software on Zoran's mobile image processing processor (COACHTM). Features included still & video image processing flows, memory management, boot speed optimization, and image quality related algorithms.● Worked closely with Zoran's key customers in Korea, Japan & the US to develop solutions for digital still cameras & video camcorders. This included project planning, technical feasibility studies, feature negotiation, schedule estimation, development of specific features and finally debugging.● Traveled to and worked in co-ordination with worldwide field application engineering groups & contractor teams located remotely to deliver projects in a timely manner.

Worked as a part of the application engineering team that deals with customers to develop digital camera solutions. ● Developed new features for digital camera embedded solutions● Was responsible for debugging and solving customer issues including travel to Taipei & Hsinchu in Taiwan to work closing with customer teams.

Worked on two very different projects here:- ● IPv6 stack on an embedded platform : This project executed for MindTree Research Labs was aimed at developing an IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) stack for a LCNA (Low Cost Network Appliance). I implemented the UDP, ICMPv6 & socket layers of the stack using C on eCos platform● Performance Buildings : This project was aimed at developing an intelligent building automation and collaboration solution. Three modules were developed - Visitor Management (VM), Conference Room Reservation (CRR) and Conference Operation Portal (COP). In my role here, I did the following: • Effectively contributed to the requirement specifications and developed use cases for all the modules using Rational Rose • Developed the web tier for the CRR module using Struts framework, Javascript & JSP. • Wrote build scripts for the application using ANT

Worked on a project that involved the development of efficient string and regular expression searching algorithms to scan input streams in a firewall for dynamic signatures. The algorithms were implemented in C on a Linux system.
