Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ)– Payment Systems Regulatory Analytics (Jordan)Provided data solutions for Payments Oversight, Currency Exchange, Consumer Protection, Microfinance and Financial Inclusion departments. Designed and developed a flexible and automated data processing and integration pipelines for a BI reporting system. Developed processes to manage transactional data from source systems and programmatically generate a reporting friendly data model. Also generated reports from the BI tool to various departments and provided training to users.Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB)– Central Bank Supervisory Analytics (Nepal)Business Intelligence delivered on top of a Supervisory Information System. Involved in requirements writing, conceptualizing prototype, building a data model and creating self-service analytics as well as custom reports. Gained banking knowledge and understood more about a Central Bank’s role in monetary policy and bank supervision. Reporting areas include insights on CAMELS rating, Liquidity, Loans, Deposits, Investment monitoring, amongst other areas. Interpreted XBRL financial taxonomy data and created a data model for BI reporting. Key financial ratios like CRR were made configurable to accommodate changes by business teams. Slowly changing dimensions were maintained in some cases where master data was also managed appropriately. Provided BI training to NRB users, Bank users and generated project documentation as well.SSM – Financial and Risk Analytics for Companies Registrar (Malaysia)Automated enterprise reporting for Registration, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Investigation and SSM Management from a new system implemented that captures data from XBRL Company Financial Statements & Annual Reports. Key insights were to derive company risk and report financials across companies in Malaysia. Training as well as project documentation on data model/BI was provided to the SSM registration, marketing, compliance, and investigation division users.

Pilot project and solution development for registered companies to consume financial reports and other accounting data reports. Data extracts from tally were used to develop automated financial reporting and cash management reports.

Worked on the backend analytics development of an MMM platform to model returns from marketing activity data. Applied advanced analytics algorithms in R such as multiple linear regression, non linear regression, forecasting and linear/non-linear optimization. Digested and maintained over 10k lines of R code.

Analyst intern for the APAC Healthcare Division, based in Singapore. Worked with team members in other parts of APAC on consulting and market research projects. Type of work involved data collection through internet and key opinion leader based interviews, and information synthesis based on the projects. Market sizing, market trend prediction, competitor analysis, diversification strategy, M&A profitability and compatibility, were some of the types of consulting projects commonly taken on by F&S Healthcare. Worked extensively with data in MS Excel (qualitative and quantitative) and presented these in MS PowerPoint to contribute to consulting projects.

Worked in an academic scientific research institute that was attached to the Singapore National Eye Center. Worked on a Corneal Endothelial Cell growth project, the goal of which was to produce a clinical solution to reversible corneal blindness. Based on a hypothesis, carried out laboratory experiments to gather necessary data. Lab data was synthesized in order to draw conclusions on the hypothesis. Research findings were presented in two journal publications during this period.
