- Participation in ongoing M&A activities- Strategizing plan to consolidate distributed authoring tools and user facing web applications- Work closely with Security, Product Management, Customer Experience, IT Infrastructure and IT Operations teams to ensure our solutions meet the needs of our external and internal customers- Investigate/evaluate new technologies for use within our business solutions- Ensures appropriate resource capacity planning and managing risks/barriers to ensure continued forward momentum in our projects- Building and managing multi-disciplined software teams and overseeing the development processes using industry best practices- Leadership of cross-functional resources focused on the delivery of solutions from requirements definition through finished state- Oversight and management of department expenses and budget planning.- Responsible for the day-to-day management product/program issues. Involves team members as needed to resolve issues within reasonable time frames and drives escalation needs when necessary.- Development of appropriate training programs to ensure teams grow and operate efficiently/effectively for themselves and the organization.- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

• Manages and coordinates the planning, design, scoping, analysis, coding, implementation, and support of all front facing and backend software applications of the Medscape platform.• Provide leadership, vision, and management to the in house development team.• Ensures compliance with security policies or other applicable compliance guidelines.• Assist and inform the Project and Program Management teams with regular updates as it relates to business projects.• Hold departmental meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives, promote team building and work to provide growth paths for staff.• Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.• Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance appraisals and delegate work assignments to direct reports as appropriate.
