Objective of this research/project was to develop a low cost efficient catalyst to control particulate matter (PM) emissions from diesel exhaust. A new efficient catalyst will be developed, which can possibly catalyze the soot oxidation at low temperature. The synthesis of these catalysts in nano form show excellent catalytic activity probably due to improves catalyst-PM contact and possibility of coating on diesel particulate filter (DPF). These devices can have excellent potential for their application in stationary diesel sources like gen-sets and other stationary engines
