Leading a team to manage supplier industrialization activities of interior, exterior switches, safety systems, crash safety and sensing for all existing and future programs at Tesla.

• Commodities - interior switches, electronics, SCCM, Steering wheel, Airbags, Sensors• Plan, organize, direct and conduct industrialization related activities within suppliers.• Lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality.• Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations• APQP, PPAP validation, Gage validation, Supplier performance analysis, SCAR, CAPA follow up. • Performing root cause analysis and analyzing using Quality tools such as 8D, FTA, why-why analysis, FMEA, conducting trials and coordinating with supplier for implementing the countermeasure on time for quality concerns.

Product Engineering department - InteriorsResponsibilities:• Pilot for Cost reduction activity for all Interior trim parts. • Auditing suppliers for quality control and improvising process plan. • Supplier management for cost, feasibility and development of part in minimum timeline.• Solving quality concerns at plant raised by operators and process engineers.• Root cause analysis using Quality tools such as 8D, FTA, why-why analysis, DFMEA and coordinating with supplier for implementing the temporary/Permanent counter measure on time.• Sourcing finalization, Supplier Negotiation, Project timeline planning for new projects, commercial issues.• Lean approach for new projects with suppliers with the help of lessons learnt in previous projects.• Benchmarking and teardown analysis of competitor vehicles.• Packaging study and product modeling in CATIA V5 to identify clash and clearances with environment data.• Cost reduction ideas generation in product, process, Logistics, Supply chain and packaging.• 2D drawings creation and verification of standards, dimensions and test requirements, Prototype testing.• Projects Handled- Nissan: Micra, Sunny ; Renault: Lodgy, Duster, Captur.
