-Working as a Backup Operation Specialist in Veritas Technologies which involves continuous -monitoring, troubleshooting, managing, administration and recommending solutions for customer infrastructure.-To manage Veritas NetBackup application for US and Australian clients- Managing storage subsystems for NetBackup- Perform Service requests like Restore, Policy Configuration etc.- Troubleshoot backup and restore failures- Log support calls for product-specific issues- Assist with NetBackup upgrades in Customer environments- Prepare internal KB articles for technical reference- Manage NetBackup servers of any Hardware platform (Master/Media)- Media Management- Remote Library Management- Advice and help customer through process of integration of new NetBackup platforms in their environment: setup of alerts/monitoring, reporting, tech documents updates, etc.- Managing complete Work with Global Team and to interact with the other teams to coordinate and complete the entire task.- Proactively alert customer and manager of potential problems based upon strong working knowledge of software and hardware compatibility within the customer's environment.- Work with Veriats Field Engineers and Support Engineers to troubleshoot hardware and product related issue and to work for part replacement and upgrade.-Raising and updating the tickets in Service now ticketing tool for the issues handled / worked upon.-To make sure that issues are handled in right time frames as per the SLA / commitments.- Interaction with the client and vendor worldwide.

• Monitoring and managing production CRON jobs on HP-UNIX servers and troubleshooting the issues in case of any Cron job failure. These jobs are responsible for generating and sending financial and banking client’s production/memo files. • Responsible for doing performance check on servers by checking performance parameters such as file system utilization, CPU utilization, processes, data replication and disk utilization by taking remote console of the servers. • We use different data transfer tools such as FileZilla, WS FTP Pro, FTP client etc. In case of failures of any transfer we send those file/data manually over UNIX servers. • Monitors, investigates and resolves system operation issues in accordance with standard procedures; documents & communicates resolution. • Checking the Job Schedule as per Checklist (MS Access) with time stamps indicating an estimated time for various tasks and to track the actual time on CRON. • To send production or memo file to the client manually over UNIX servers via FTP or SFTP whenever there is any schedules job fails. • Opening & eventing the documenting associated tickets in to the incident management queue, to escalate to appropriate level of support. • The role involves communication, both verbal as well as through email with Fiserv Inc. counterpart for incident/problem investigation. • To check the health of all the production servers (Windows and UNIX). We check the filesystem and services on these servers. • To grant access to the users on UNIX and WINDOWS box (programmers) whenever they need it and get the access back. • Scheduling & Monitoring all types of jobs & job queues, subsystems, backups and output queues. • Coordination with central teams for solving various network/Server related issues.
