I am currently working as a full stack developer at CSIR NIIST on contract basis. The recent project that I handled is the SMART Foundry 2020 project which is funded by DST. CSIR NIIST, CMTI Bangalore, IIT Bombay, VNIT Nagpur etc. are some of the participating organizations. The developed system rapidly manufactures small metal parts with better quality at a lower cost. Since the project dealt with hardware units like FDM 3D printer, mold making unit, melting unit and sand reclamation unit, apart from the software experience I got some exposure with Texas Instruments micro controllers like MSP 430 and CC3220SF LAUNCHXL and also some of the Arduino controllers like Mega 2560, ESP 32 etc. RESTful API is used to send the sensor data and status info to the server. A web-based dashboard was developed for real-time process monitoring and for controlling the hardware from remote locations. The scripting language used here is PHP and have used various libraries and technologies to enhance the visual appearance and functionalities of the dashboard. The web application is hosted using Microsoft IIS webserver. Python libraries are used for predicting defects by analyzing various inputs along with the output obtained.
