• Set work program and target milestones for each phase based on the project plan.• Prepare and update project schedule based on the contract.• Roll of planning engineer in construction project is to ensure uninterrupted desired progress of work in desired cost estimate and completion of work in estimated time.• Plan for budget required for the project and create various budget heads to document and monitor the expenses.• Create Cash flow analysis (i.e. Expected billing (cash inflow) vs Expected cash outflow).• Prepares and submit updated work program and cash flow curve showing actual progress and identify areas of weakness and establishes means and methods for recovery, if any, as well as new critical activities.• Perform a variety of cost engineering functions encompassing estimating, cost control, budge preparations, forecasting, cost reporting while working under limited supervision• To perform and ensure an effective cost control function for the projects life cycle and Maintain current cost control database.• Review proposed schedule changes with construction personnel, client and contractors.• Support Project Control Manager on assignments outside of job description where applicable• Collect periodic updates and prepare daily, weekly and monthly updates of the project• Monitor day to day work progress and prepare the weekly and monthly program and report.• Prepares monthly report reflecting work progress summary.• Report to the Project Manager about the current work progress and make comparison between plan and actual progress and study impact of alternative approaches to work.• Participate in project meetings and discussions with the Client as required.• Coordinating with the site execution team for preparing monthly procurement schedules for major materials, building materials, special materials and tools as per the work plan.• Creation of Purchase requisitions and purchase orders for sub-contractors / PRW contractors.
